AI as Your Teacher: Revolution or Risk?

Arizona’s Unbound Academy is replacing traditional classrooms with AI-driven, two-hour daily lessons for grades 4–8. Approved by a narrow 4-3 vote, this fully online charter school uses platforms like IXL and Khan Academy, with AI personalizing content and tracking students’ performance and emotional cues.

Freed from conventional academics, students focus on workshops in life skills like financial literacy and critical thinking. While proponents claim these students "learn twice as much" as peers, critics question the efficacy of such programs and the ethics of using children as guinea pigs for tech-driven experiments inspired by Musk’s innovation model.
