Can You Spot the Bot? AI Blurs the Human Line

If you think you can always tell when you're chatting with a human, think again — AI might just be fooling you half the time.

New research reveals that AI chatbots, like OpenAI's GPT-4, can pass for humans more than half the time in conversations, challenging our ability to distinguish between man and machine.

In a study by UC San Diego, participants could correctly identify a human only 67% of the time, while GPT-4 was mistaken for a human 54% of the time. This raises questions about the future of AI in business and everyday interactions.
