Can an AI know you better than your best friend? ChatGPT is now analyzing your personality traits, but should we trust it?

A recent study has shown that ChatGPT can infer personality traits from short texts, matching or even outperforming human raters in some cases. Conducted with 155 Czech-speaking participants, the study found that ChatGPT’s accuracy in estimating traits like extraversion and agreeableness was impressive, though it showed a 'positivity bias,' often rating people more favorably than they might deserve.

This research underscores the potential of AI in psychological assessments but also raises ethical concerns about privacy and bias. As AI tools become more advanced, how can we balance their use with ethical considerations to protect user autonomy and privacy?
