We are at a point in history where we have a choice. We can create a metaverse where everyone can be part of unique, immersive experiences, have access to unique ways to earn a living, and have complete control over our identity, data, and digital assets, or we can stick to what we have, including all problems that come with it. An interoperable open metaverse will enable users to monetize those assets, sell them, borrow against them, use them as collateral, create derivatives, or rent them out. Would reprogramming our bodies be the key to longevity? The longevity trend is in full force, with scientists and biotech founders trying to win over deep-pocketed investors. One approach is to reprogram ageing bodies back to their former youth. Would this be the key to longevity? In my last week’s article, I covered the new trend of generative AI and synthetic media that is taking the internet by storm. These large language and image AI models are rapidly disrupting the creative industry and changing creativity. Announced at COP27, Tuvalu is the first country that aims to upload its entire country to the metaverse in an attempt not to be forgotten when rising sea levels due to climate change destroy the tiny country in the Pacific. One million creditors are owed money in the FTX bankruptcy. According to FTX, the crypto exchange that went bankrupt last week and caused widespread losses in the crypto market, has stated that it expects one million individual creditors to be owed money in claims.
