Instead, the real issue might be our shifting educational priorities. As technology evolves, it’s tempting to blame new tools like ChatGPT for declining academic integrity. However, the core problem could be the overwhelming pressure of college admissions and the competitive nature of high schools.
Rather than focusing solely on AI as the villain, educators might need to rethink the purpose of schooling itself — shifting from rote memorization to cultivating genuine work habits and critical thinking. In a world where facts are just a click away, how can we ensure students are truly learning and not just regurgitating information?
