Meta's record EU fine: the cost of doing business in the EU.

Meta Platforms is slapped with a record €1.2B fine by EU regulators for illegally transferring user data to the U.S., violating GDPR rules. While Meta intends to appeal, the fine signals the EU's stern stance on privacy violations. At the same time, Meta probably sees this as the 'cost of doing business', and not much will change in the future.
