As AI continues to evolve, its alignment with human values becomes crucial. OpenAI's push towards superintelligence by 2030 underscores this need. While engineers and tech experts are vital, philosophers have historically shaped AI's foundational concepts, such as logic and reasoning.

Today, philosophical inquiry remains essential in addressing whether AI can truly understand language or achieve consciousness. After all, to know whether AI has achieved consciousness, we first need to understand what consciousness is!

The ethical use of AI and its societal impacts are not just technical challenges but social ones, requiring input from philosophers, social scientists, and policymakers. Can we ensure AI serves humanity without philosophical guidance?
