The Intelligence Age Readiness Briefing, for your leadership retreat, offsite or board meeting.

Your leaders leave knowing what’s coming, what it means for your business and what to decide first. Dr. Mark van Rijmenam, a futurist and AI keynote speaker trusted by leaders at Microsoft, Dell, Nestlé, Mastercard and EY, builds the Readiness Briefing around your organization: briefing calls with your executive team, the keynote, a copy of Now What? for every attendee and the follow-up. With the Intelligence Age Scorecard, the evidence behind every point comes from your own people.

What your
leaders get

Dr. Mark van Rijmenam delivering a keynote on stage

Clarity

What AI, and the technologies that follow it, really mean for your industry, your business model and your people. No hype, no technical detail.

Candor

With the Intelligence Age Scorecard, an honest picture of how ready your organization really is, given in confidence by the people closest to the work. Not the answer in the strategy deck, but the one your people would give if someone asked them properly.

Confidence

A shared language for change across your leadership team: the WAVE framework from Mark’s book Now What? How to Ride the Tsunami of Change. And decisions your leaders can defend to the board.

Most leadership teams already know they are not ready: 72% of senior executives say their organizations are not fully ready to face upcoming changes.1 What they lack is an honest picture of where they fall short, and the judgment to decide what comes first. That is what Mark brings to the room.

How it works

  1. Before the retreat

    Mark does his homework

Briefing calls with your executive team, so the keynote speaks to your strategy and your markets.

    With the Scorecard

Mark also hears from your own people: a confidential 15-minute online assessment, which we recommend for 10 to 20% of the workforce, from the executive team to the front line. Your organization sees combined results and unattributed comments, never an individual’s answers.

  2. At the retreat

Dr. Mark van Rijmenam delivering a keynote

    Mark works with your leaders

A 45- to 60-minute keynote and 30 minutes of Q&A: what’s coming, what it means for your business, and how to decide about it.

    With the Scorecard

Every point lands on your own organization, illustrated with your people’s own words and never attributed to anyone.

  3. After the retreat

Now What? How to Ride the Tsunami of Change, by Dr. Mark van Rijmenam An example executive thought leadership publication

The change travels beyond the room

Every attendee takes home Now What? with a personal message from your CEO.

    With the Scorecard

Every participant already has a personal report and a 90-day action plan, and you keep a live dashboard of where the organization stands, by department, function, seniority and region.

And as an option, a published report records how your top leaders see the future, based on interviews with your C-suite.

How an engagement runs

Book three to nine months ahead. It works best when it starts with the CEO’s office.

01

Conversation

A first conversation with your Chief of Staff: what your leadership team needs, and what your CEO wants the room to leave with. You receive one proposal with one all-inclusive price.

02

Preparation

Briefing calls with your executive team. With the Scorecard, the assessment opens at least five weeks before the retreat: about three weeks for your people to answer, then two for the full picture.

03

The retreat

Mark’s keynote and Q&A, and a copy of Now What? for every attendee.

04

After the retreat

With the Scorecard, the live dashboard stays with you. If you choose the publication, the report and a 20-minute presentation to your board follow, four to five weeks after the interviews. A guided dashboard session for your board is an optional extra.

Three options for the Readiness Briefing

Each comes at one all-inclusive price: fee, travel, accommodation and a copy of Now What? for every attendee, up to 500 copies.

Questions a Chief of Staff will ask

A clear view of what AI, and the technologies that follow it, mean for your business, a framework for deciding about them, and a sense of what to decide first. With the Scorecard, also an honest picture of where your organization stands.

No. The Readiness Briefing is Mark working with your leadership team at your retreat: one keynote and Q&A, built around your organization, with the option of a published report. Nobody is sent on a course.

Every keynote is written for your industry, your markets and the decisions in front of your leadership team, after briefing calls with your executives. With the Scorecard, Mark also knows what your own people say, and aims the keynote at it.

Your Chief of Staff: a first conversation and the invitation. Your executive team: one or two briefing calls before the retreat. Your people, with the Scorecard: about 15 minutes each. Your leaders: about 90 minutes for the keynote and Q&A.

Everything: the fee, travel, accommodation, a copy of Now What? for every attendee, and everything in the option you choose. One price.

No. It is Mark’s homework, not the deliverable. An engagement survey asks how people feel about working here. The Scorecard asks whether your organization can see, absorb and act on what is coming, and Mark uses the answers to decide what your leaders most need to hear. Every participant also gets a personal report and a 90-day action plan.

Yes. Each person’s answers and report belong to them, and nobody in the organization sees them unless that person chooses to share. Everyone is told before they begin that the combined results go to your organization. The dashboard refuses any view of fewer than five people and tracks combined filters, so nobody can narrow their way down to an individual. Written answers are shown but never attributed, and they are screened for self-identifying detail.

Because people take part when the CEO asks, and they answer honestly when they know no answer can be traced back to them.

As many as should be in the picture, all included in the price. We recommend at least 10 to 20% of the workforce: for an organization of 25,000, that is 2,500 to 5,000 people.

Yes. Board members can have their own access to the dashboard, and you receive a PDF built for the board meeting. Mark can also take your board through the results in a guided dashboard session, as an optional extra.

A data processing agreement and European data storage are available. The scores are calculated by fixed rules rather than generated by a model, every dashboard query is logged, and individual responses are never sold or shared.

The term Mark uses for the period we are entering, in which AI and the technologies that follow it, from robotics to synthetic biology, change how organizations work and compete.

Bring Mark to
your leadership retreat

Mark books three to nine months ahead, and the Scorecard opens at least five weeks before the retreat, so the best time to talk is before the agenda is set. Tell us about your leadership team and when it meets, and we will come back within 24 hours. After a first conversation, you receive one proposal with one all-inclusive price.
