The Pentagon is pushing AI killer bots.
The Pentagon seeks to rapidly develop AI-controlled drones and weapons that can independently decide to kill people on the battlefield. What could possibly go wrong? Though touted as giving the US an advantage, I think it is very worrisome that we will soon have “killer robots” without human oversight, crossing an ethical line that can threaten humanity. But the US, backed by Russia and China, opposes proposals by other nations for binding laws restricting autonomous killing machines.
