The Fourth Industrial Revolution will really take off in the coming year as more and more factories are becoming smart factories. Although a complete global adoption of the Industrial Internet could still be a decade away, the Industrial Internet has massive potential. The vision of tomorrow's manufacturing combines intelligent factories, machines, raw materials, and products that communicate within an "Internet of things" and cooperatively drive production. In this video by Siemens they show how products can find their way independently through the production process, resulting in a highly flexible, individualized and resource-friendly mass production.
