Good Day! This is my weekly newsletter, with a dose of insights into the future. The topic of this newsletter is the exponential times we live in, hence the title of f(x) = e^x, which is the (natural) exponential function.

Recently, I launched my new concept The Digital Speaker and you can now book me as an avatar or hologram. Also, my tech trend prediction for 2021 is out, read it here!

The School of the Tomorrow: How AI in Education Changes How We Learn

My latest article:

With AI developing at breakneck speed, it is challenging to keep up with all the changes. However, having at least a basic understanding of what artificial intelligence is and what it is capable of becomes more and more required in today's society. Not only do we need an excellent educational system to train AI developers, but AI can also significantly improve education.

In the school of tomorrow, teachers and machines collaborate to help students learn faster, more efficiently and better. The opportunities for AI in education are enormous, ranging from personalised learning plans and coaching using AI, robot teachers, automation of administrative tasks to equal access for all students. AI will change education forever. Let's look at how AI is changing education.

Three Useful Nuggets of Information

My weekly tips from around the web to get you thinking.

1. The self-riding bike is coming from China.

Three years ago, Google announced the self-driving bike as an April Fools joke. Now, researchers in China have developed a real self-driving bike using a neuromorphic chip. (MIT)

2. A blockchain-based web browser could prevent hacking.

IBM recently filed for a patent of a blockchain-based web browser created by its scientists. The web browser could make hacking nearly impossible and protect companies and customers. If the browser became successful, it would take peer-to-peer networking to new levels. (Coindesk)

3. AI and IoT are converging to a new buzzword: AIoT.

To enable the 4th industrial revolution, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things need to work together seamlessly. While IoT can be seen as the digital nervous system creating the required data, AI becomes the brain that makes decisions which control the overall system, using that data. Now, the two technologies are converging. (Forbes)
