The f(x) = e^x | quantum computing and smart contact lenses
👋 Hi, I am Mark. I am a strategic futurist and innovation keynote speaker. I advise governments and enterprises on emerging technologies such as AI or the metaverse. My subscribers receive a free weekly newsletter on cutting-edge technology.

Good Day! This is my weekly newsletter, with a dose of insights into the future. The topic of this newsletter is the exponential times we live in, hence the title of f(x) = e^x, which is the (natural) exponential function.

You can visit The Digital Speaker to book me as a keynote speaker for your next event or to hire me as a future tech coach for your CEO. I have also published my trend predictions for 2022, and I am giving away10 free hard copies of my new book: Step into the Metaverse!

How Quantum Computers Will Change the World

My latest article:

There’s a race between quantum computing vs. classical computing to determine how they will change the future of work for our organizations and us.

When you learn what quantum computing can do, you'll be able to process larger data, make better predictions, develop new materials, and create new drugs that can cure previously incurable diseases. It's not just scientists who are using quantum computing power; companies like Google and IBM are using them for their purposes.

Quantum computing will change the world in ways we can't predict. But it will certainly change everything about our digital lives.

Three Useful Nuggets of Information

My weekly tips from around the web to get you thinking.

1. Smart AR contact lenses are quickly becoming a reality.

The company Mojo Vision is working on smart AR lenses, and instead of 2050, they might be here in the next few years. Last week, the founder of Mojo Vision successfully wore a smart contact lens for the first time. This tiny lens includes a 14,000 pixel-per-inch micro display, an image sensor, eye-tracking sensors, a battery system, 5G antenna and an ARM0 processor 😱 The future is definitely closer than we think! 2. Will Big Tech create an interoperable metaverse?

Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Unity, Sony, and 30 other companies are coming together to build the infrastructure for an interoperable metaverse. A significant step forward, as long as it ensures that individuals can have complete control over their own data, digital assets and identity and not Big Tech. (CoinDesk)

3. Memes took over the internet, and now AI takes over memes.

The viral image-generation app DALL-E Mini is a great way to waste a few hours on having AI create fun and absurd memes. It is a great tool to learn how AI looks at the world as well. (Wired)
