Scientists have proposed a plan to develop a biological computer powered by human brain cells that could outperform silicon-based machines while using far less energy. The system, called "organoid intelligence," would consist of arrays of brain organoids - tiny three-dimensional neural structures grown from human stem cells - that are connected to sensors and output devices and trained by machine learning and big data.
