The focus appears to be less about the robot’s shape and more on how humans interact with it, prioritizing sensing hardware and AI-driven perception. Although the proof-of-concept could evolve into anything from a smart mechanical arm to a full humanoid assistant, challenges like cost and reliability remain major hurdles.
Given Apple’s recent setbacks with projects like the Vision Pro, the company seems determined to avoid a misstep in robotics.
